Kalfire E-One in hotels: a luxurious fire experience at The Florentin Frankfurt

A fireplace is playing an increasingly important role in the experience of luxury hotels—not just as an atmospheric feature, but as an integral part of the interior design. At The Florentin in Frankfurt, this comes together in a distinctive way.

Located in a characterful and historic building, the hotel combines bold architecture with a contemporary interior concept. Within this context, the Kalfire E-One has been selected—a holographic fireplace that translates the classic fire experience into a modern and flexible solution.

In collaboration with our dealer KABE, multiple E-One fireplaces have been integrated into both public spaces and suites, with warmth, tranquility, and refinement at the forefront—without the limitations of a traditional fireplace.

A fireplace as part of the overall hotel experience

The demand for fireplaces in hotels is growing. Guests expect more than just comfort; they seek an environment that feels like an extension of home, but more refined and thoughtfully designed.

At The Florentin, the fireplace is a central element within this overall concept. A total of 19 Kalfire E-One fireplaces have been installed throughout the hotel, ensuring a consistent atmosphere and experience across both public and private spaces.

In the public areas, including The Florentin Bar, three large models have been integrated: one E-One 160F and two E-One 190F units. These serve as architectural focal points and connect different zones within the interior.

Ambience in private spaces

While the lobby is the hotel’s calling card, the true experience is often defined in the room itself. A hotel room with a fireplace enhances the sense of comfort and exclusivity.

At The Florentin, this concept is consistently applied in the suites. A total of 16 Kalfire E-One 130F fireplaces have been installed in the Loft Suites and Loft Terrace Suites. This creates a calm and cohesive look, where the fire experience becomes a natural part of the interior.

The fireplaces provide a warm and personal atmosphere that complements the high-end level of finish in the suites. This not only enhances visual appeal but also makes the stay tangibly more comfortable.

Freedom in design and technology

Traditional fireplaces come with technical constraints, such as flues and ventilation requirements. The Kalfire E-One offers a fundamentally different approach. As a holographic fireplace, it creates a realistic flame image without combustion, allowing it to be freely integrated into the interior without major structural modifications.

This flexibility is paired with ease of use at a hotel level. The fireplaces are centrally controlled via the Hotel Switch, making it easy to manage and adjust settings in line with room usage.

All fireplaces in the suites are equipped with a heating element, combining ambience with functionality. At the same time, the freedom in material choices for the surround allows each fireplace to be fully tailored to the interior design of each suite.

Collaboration with KABE

The realization of this project at The Florentin was carried out by our dealer KABE. Their expertise in both technical execution and finishing ensured that the fireplaces were seamlessly integrated into the overall design.
