All Kalfire wood-burning fireplaces are equipped with a smooth lift door, allowing you to easily add a log to the hearth or to raise the glass panel to enjoy an open fire. Just use the Kalfire key to slide the door upwards and leave it open in any position you choose.
When you need to clean the glass, this couldn’t be easier, thanks to the Easy Door System. You simply turn the hidden lever 180° to the left to make the panel tilt (front and tunnel models) or slide forward (corner and three-sided models). This gives you easy access to the entire surface, with any soot falling into the firebox: the extended hearth in front of the fire stays clean.
The interior of a fire is a key element, as it impacts its appearance and atmosphere even when the fire is not burning. Kalfire closed wood fires offer the choice of three different interiors: the standard interior is Skamol (made of vermiculite). Alternatively, you can choose steel lamella or an interior patterned with vertical lines (design).
The standard built-in mounting trim for front and tunnel fireplaces is 2.5 cm deep and 4 mm thick; for the room divider the mounting trim is 3 cm deep and 4 mm thick. Optionally, depending on the model, you can choose a trim that is 7 or 10 cm deep and 4 or 8 mm thick. The large choice of trims offers various customized mounting and surround possibilities to suit all design tastes.
