(Bio) propane: the eco-friendly alternative

Kalfire gas fireplaces burn flawlessly on propane gas. Propane is a byproduct of both natural gas extraction and crude oil refining. During these processes, propane gas is released. BioLPG, or biopropane, is a byproduct of biodiesel and is entirely produced from biomass, a mix of waste and residual materials, and renewable vegetable oils. Therefore, propane gas is a responsible choice. It is an energy source that is environmentally friendly and contributes to a healthier living environment. Propane gas produces up to 19% less CO2 compared to fuel oil when burned. BioLPG goes even further, producing up to 80% less CO2 compared to conventional propane gas.

Converting from a natural gas fireplace to a propane fireplace is easy

Should your home unexpectedly be disconnected from the gas network and you are "forced" to choose alternative energy sources such as a heat pump, you don't have to say goodbye to your gas fireplace. Kalfire gas fireplaces can be easily converted to a new fuel: propane. This way, you can continue to enjoy your fireplace. In fact, you will find that the gas fireplace is the ideal way to quickly add a few degrees of warmth, for instance. Contact your Kalfire fireplace dealer for more information or a quotation.
