Ifaf and Hussam live with their two children in a recently constructed house whose elegantly stylish interior they designed themselves. They knew they wanted a fireplace and imagined it could be an attractive way to break up the space between the living and dining room – and plus, the fire could be enjoyed from both areas.

With this idea in mind, they went to their local fireplace dealer Water & Vuur in Groningen, who began to sketch out a design and show them some options.

Overall picture

The choice fell on the Kalfire Gas fire GP85/50R with the added option Natural Spark Generator(NSG), which really stands out for Ifaf and her husband. It makes the flames even more beautiful and real so it definitely gives that little bit extra to the fireplace. As soon as they saw the fireplace in the showroom, they were immediately sold.

"Normally I am a real doubter, I want to have seen everything ten times before I can make a choice," says Ifaf, "but upon seeing this fireplace I was immediately sold, I loved it. It was one of the few times I immediately said with conviction: it's going to be that one."

Moreover, the gas fireplace is also easy to use: the controls are efficient and quick. You can set and save everything yourself so that you get your favourite fire at the touch of a button.

Ifaf and her husband wanted to place the ambiance fireplace on a marble block and extend it to the wall, like a TV cabinet. They visited a natural stone company to choose the right material with the right colours, and from there everything continued through the dealer. The Water and Fire dealer regularly works with the natural stone company, allowing them to take the worries and practicalities out of the customer's hands. This also allows everything to be installed in the house on the same day.

Ifaf now lives with her family in her dream home, which she has decorated all by herself down to the last detail. As soon as you walk in, you can see that someone with a passion for interior design has been at work. So it's no surprise that Ifaf is setting up her own business around interior styling and consultancy.

The fireplace was installed about a year ago and Ifaf and her husband are incredibly happy. They still love the fireplace, especially in combination with the marble, and they get many compliments from others. They have already referred many people to Water and Fire because of the good service and the beautiful fireplace.
